Application Deadline!
Following the success of the Film London Production Finance Market (PFM) over the past three years, it has been announced that the fourth PFM will be held on 20-21 October 2010.
|
The 2009 market attracted almost €300m of production investment as well as leading equity, hedge fund, tax, banking, public and broadcaster financiers. To date, some 20 or more films and companies have benefited directly from PFM. The 2010 edition will bring more than 100 producers, financiers and new forms of investment together over a two-day period at the Hilton London Tower Bridge in London. This year's event has cross-industry support from senior European producers and financiers, the BFI London Film Festival, UK Trade & Investment, the UK Film Council and the MEDIA Programme. In addition to numerous workshops and networking events, PFM will be scheduling more than 750 face-to-face meetings between film producers and financiers (and financier-to-financier meetings) over the course of the market. PFM features seven main categories of financiers: - Mature UK-based and international production and finance companies committed to co- producing/financing International films with the UK - UK film funds - Private equity funds and investors from the UK and abroad, including hedge fund representatives - Banks active in the film financing sector - Screen agencies or other public funding bodies with financial schemes - Regional Screen Agencies that have active production financing schemes - International and UK film sales companies - UK film distributors, leading international distributors and broadcasters committed to film financing. Applications are open to UK and international producers who: - Have a significant production track record - Submit a highly promising project aimed at the international market that is packaged to a level that financiers can realistically consider - Have projects with budgets greater than €1m. International producers will be given priority if they are offering single projects that have either potential European co-producer partners or EU financing opportunities. For further details of how to apply visit the Film London Production Market website: http://filmlondon.org.uk/pfm/ The deadline for submissions is 5pm, Friday 9 July 2010.
