Venue: National Physical Laboratory, Teddington Date: 25 Mar 10 At this one day seminar in association with the Mobile Data Association and the Creative Industries KTN we will be looking at games and networking applications, available on mobile devices today, which have a location based element. As more and more mobile devices become location aware through the addition of GPS, RFID and WLAN and cellular positioning we will peek into the future of these location based applications. We will have speakers from across the value chain: Microsoft: We will be hearing about the recently unveiled Windows Phone 7, which includes an array of gaming facilities. Simon Games will be talking about Real People, Real Places, and possibly their latest game 'Guess Who'. Palringo will share with us Location as a key component of presence and a social enabler. Calvium enables others to build exciting mobile applications based on sensors and context. Active Ingredients will be showcasing three new games, including the award winning Heartlands. We will also have contributions from the mobile handset manufacturing giant Samsung, and a Mobile Network Operator amongst others.
